Anord Mardix announce charity partnership With SOSAD Ireland

September 11, 2023

Following World Suicide Prevention Day on 10th September, Anord Mardix, a Flex company, have announced their corporate charity partnership with SOSAD Ireland.

SOSAD (Save Our Sons and Daughters) works across Cavan, Louth, Meath, Monaghan and Laois in Ireland to raise awareness and help prevent suicide. SOSAD offers support and services for people who are struggling with suicidal ideation, self-harm, depression, bereavement, stress and anxiety. They also offer their services to anyone who may simply just need someone to talk to.

This is a cause that is very close to the hearts of Anord Mardix employees and we announce this partnership in memory of employees we have sadly lost to suicide.

Rachel Flood, Anord Mardix’s Senior HR Business Partner for Ireland, comments:

We are delighted to announce our charity partnership with SOSAD Ireland. Employee wellbeing is very important to us and we are committed to raising awareness and helping support our employees who have been affected by suicide or may be struggling themselves. This is a cause that is very close to the hearts of Anord Mardix employees and we announce this partnership in memory of employees we sadly lost to suicide.

We want our employees to feel supported and know that there are resources available to them. SOSAD offer a range of support and services free of charge to help those in need and we are delighted to be supporting the wonderful work they do. We will be holding events throughout the year to raise funds to support SOSAD so they can continue their outstanding work locally and across Ireland.

Through the crucial work of SOSAD, Anord Mardix hope to encourage anybody who may be struggling to talk to someone; whether it be a family member, a friend, a colleague or a mental health professional. That is why Anord Mardix are committed to offer their support to SOSAD with an initial donation of €10,000, followed by further fundraising events throughout the year, to ensure that SOSAD can continue their fantastic work in Dundalk and the surrounding areas.

SOSAD work tirelessly and offer a huge variety of services, free of charge, to anyone who may be struggling. No matter how big or small the problem may seem to the individual, SOSAD believe that everyone should have access to the appropriate mental health and wellbeing services – and they offer that support 24/7.
